Florim USA is opening 2016 with new flooring collections based on the natural look. Their releases heavily emphasize stone with two series- the Modern Stone and Stained Cement. And of course there are wood looks but they feature contrasting styles. Then a modern twist is taken with a fusion of stone and wood come together in the Stained Wood series. The TimeOut has a definite modern touch while Vintage like the name implies gives a persona of a reclaimed textured wood.  Though natural, the overall theme isn’t traditional – rather, it is contemporary and fitting for modern residences or commercial settings.

A major focus of this natural look is emphasis on stone and geodes. Many of the new collections offer grey hues with many of them artistically flowing together and creating very natural looking pieces of art that only Mother Nature could rival. Of course nature isn’t only grey; there are browns, too. There are brown stones and grey stones which are complimented by grey wood and brown wood in each corresponding series. However, unlike the usual roughness found with stone and trees, these Florim USA releases are very smooth and clean.

Another aspect that stands out with these nature-influenced collections is that they take an unnatural turn with their sizes. These selections prize the long, plank look. The TimeOut and Vintage selections have planks that are 36” in length which means the other collections make 48” the standard! And if they’re not long planks, they’re large contemporary sizes such as 24”x48” to really show off the unique visual design of the tile.

So, what’s going on with Florim USA? They’re renewing the natural look and adapting it to fit modern décor. What used to be fitting for more traditional spaces are now getting a makeover to fit contemporary spaces. They’re even producing products that are a fusion of rustic and modern! So, whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks obviously haven’t checked out these new collections.

Here’s a look at the new collections Florim USA are producing:

Florim Modern Stone – inspired by the beauty of stones and geode minerals found out in nature. When you cut open a geode, you find amazing design inside, like a beautiful art piece that Mother Nature created for those who cared enough and went out and looked for her Easter Eggs. This collection emphasizes its geode-like designs with contemporary sizes like a large format 24”x48” and 18”x36”.  There is also a plank look in an impressive 12”x48” with the standard 12”x24”. Of course the traditional size of 24”x24” is also offered as well.

Florim Stained Wood – this collection features porcelain disguised as wood. And not just wood, but a fusion of stone and wood as well! Many geode inspired designs can be found within this series as well. However, the collection does feature a couple of traditional colors and looks. This selection also features a 12”x48” plank design, giving a new twist to wooden planks.

Florim Stained Cement – what do you get when you combine cement and the sea? The Florim Stained Cement tile collection of course. This particular flooring selection is a hybrid design with a fusion of stained concrete and wood joining forces. This is another plank collection that features the long non-traditional 12”x48” plank.

Florim TimeOut – a smooth, clean, modern interpretation of wood flooring, designed with those looking for a light contemporary look in mind.
